Every Nicawana surf hat and surf helmet hat comes in S/M or M/L. Measure your head once and you know your size for every model.

How to measure your head for a surf hat

Grab a soft tape measure. No tape? Use a piece of string and measure it against a ruler.
Wrap it around your head just above your ears and your eyebrows, where the hat will sit. Keep it level and snug, not tight.
Read the number in centimetres and match it to the chart. Measure twice and go with the bigger number.

What size surf hat do I need if I measure exactly 58 cm?

Take M/L. The elastic adjuster at the back tightens the fit, so the bigger size still sits snug.

Do the surf hat and the surf helmet hat use the same sizes?

Yes. Both come in the same two sizes, S/M and M/L, so the chart above works for every Nicawana hat.

How should a surf hat fit in the water?

Snug, not tight. Adjust the elastic at the back before you paddle out, so it stays on when you duck dive or wipe out.

What if my surf hat doesn't fit?

You have 14 days from delivery to return it, unworn and with its tags. Everything is explained in returns and exchanges, and you can always ask us first.
